The managing partner of Friedman & Mirman, Denise Mirman, has been practicing in the Family Relations Law Field since 1982 and is an OSBA Board Certified Specialist in the field. Ms. Mirman also has extensive experience in all facets of trial and appellate work, including arguing before the Ohio Supreme Court.

Ms. Mirman is listed in Best Lawyers in America 2012. She is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Mirman is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell, and has been named an Ohio Super Lawyer by Law & Politics since its inception of the list. She was named a Top 50 Women Ohio Super Lawyer for 2009 - 2011 and a Top 25 Women Columbus Ohio Super Lawyer by Law & Politics for 2010 - 2011. She has served as Chair of the Columbus Bar Association Family Law Committee, and as a member of the Professional Ethics and Grievance Committee for the Columbus Bar Association. She is a frequent lecturer on family law.

Ms. Mirman is also active in community activities. She was honored by Business First Newspaper as one of its Forty Under 40 selections for her business and community activities, and she volunteers regularly at an area interfaith legal clinic.
