Lisa Eschleman has an extensive career as a lawyer beginning at Porter, Wright, Morris & Arthur, where she focused her practice on complex civil trial and appellate litigation. She has significant experience managing all aspects of large and multifaceted litigation, including discovery, motions practice, trial preparation, bench and jury trials, and appeals.
Lisa’s practice included family law throughout much of her career.
Lisa was an Adjunct Professor at The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law, teaching Trial Practice, beginning in 1995, and then an Adjunct Professor at Capital University of Law since 2001, teaching both Trial Practice and Interviewing & Counseling. In 2020, she was honored with the Capital University Law School Judge Markus Family Adjunct Faculty Award.
Lisa serves on the Board of Trustees of the Columbus Bar Foundation, as well as other state bar committees. She also participates as a mentor in the Ohio Supreme Court’s Lawyer to Lawyer Mentoring Program. Lisa is active in her community, serving on the Board of Trustees of the Law and Leadership Institute, a statewide nonprofit organization. She also enjoys her service on the Board of Trustees of the Thurber House and as a pro bono volunteer with Restored Citizens.
As resident of Columbus since 1984, Lisa graduated from Capital University Law School, magna cum laude and was honored with the Order of the Curia. While in law school, she was a member of the Capital University Law School Law Review and National Moot Court Team.
